Report text (text report) is a type of text that describe or depict the shape, characteristicsor properties of common (general) objects, animals, plants, people or events.
Report text has a frame or structure (generic structure) as follows :
1. General classification: introducing objects, animals, plants, or someone that will be discussed. One way is to create a definition or classification.
2. Description: tell the parts, qualities, properties, behavior of objects, animals, plants, or a person described.
Objectives (purpose) of this text is to provide information or description of the general characteristics of objects, animals, plants, or humans.
Verb (tense) is used usually simple present tense. Again, descriptive text and the reportlooks the same, but actually very different. Descriptive text gives a description ofsomething special or specific, while the report provides a description of the general characteristics of a type of life or death matter.

Example :
Tyrannosaurus rex, sometimes just called T-rex, is believed to be the largest and most fearsome predator on Earth's land ever to have existed. This dinosaur once roam the Earth in the Creataceous period approximately 68 to 65 million years ago.
As a carnivorous dinosaur, this giant predator most likely ambushed their prey, and devoured them with jaws full of white sharp teeth. With it's fast ability to run at an astonishing speed of 32 mph (50 kmh), a perfect slim and stiff tail that gave it an excellent balance and allowed it to make quick turns, equipped this gigantic predator and made it even more deadly, like a killing machine.
